The Mythology in a Cosmology of Light #2: Light as Creator
In the introductory piece to this series, it was suggested that the known speed with which light travels, c, is an intentionality. But before mythology associated with c can be surfaced, the contextual mythology to do with that which creates has first to be explored.
A Creator is often thought to be all-powerful, all-present, all-knowledgeable, at the least. In considering light in an infinitely fast state we can get a glimpse into the emergence of such properties.
Imagine, therefore, a large volume with a light source at the center. Because it travels infinitely fast it will be present in that volume instantaneously. So it will be all-present or omnipresent. Since anything that appears or disappears will be recorded in the substance of the all-present light, the light will have full knowledge of everything that is happening in it. That is, it will be all-knowledgeable, or omniscient. If anything not of the nature of light were to arise, sooner or later it will be overcome or subsumed by the nature of light, and hence light will be all-powerful or omnipotent. Since everything will be connected in the all-present fiber of light there will be an implicit harmony that would prevail and hence light would be all-harmonious or omniharmonious.
So light existing in some native state such that it has infinite speed can be seen to be omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotent, omniharmonious.
But another way to think of this is that if there were something that was omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotent, omniharmonious, it would be self-illuminative by dint of knowing itself and powerfully creating in itself as per principles of implicit harmony. But this is what Light is.
But this is what Light is
Perhaps it is the case then that some original Mystery decided to create. This manifests as the opening of an Eye. With that opening Light flashes forth. Flashing forth infinitely fast it is endowed with omnipresence, omnipotence, omniscience, and omniharmony.
And thus begins a cycle of Creation.
