Penetration into phenomenon, regardless of area, reveals One Mathematics that animates all things.
The recent six-book Cosmology of Light series is an attempt to reveal such a mathematics, the framing of which was initially arrived at through a study of trends in diverse areas that led to the surfacing of a ubiquitous fractal for progress.
Study of such a fractal for progress further led to the notion of a fractal-behind-the-fractal and this analyses was captured in the 2015 book The Fractal Organization.
The fractal-behind-the-fractal is envisioned as being a quaternary structure from which all things flow. What started off as a relatively simple mathematical framing evolved into a Cosmology through a consideration of Light and the realities that it must engender through any possible variation in its movement.
But any possible cosmology must express itself in diverse areas and this year there have been a spate of conference presentations and proceedings, and journal articles, that have emanated from the body of One Mathematics as elaborated in the Cosmology of Light book series.
Hence the feature article in the April 2018 edition of the Indian Journal of Science of Technology, Symmetries of Light and Emergence of Matter, explored the connection between the proposed model of light and subsequent emergence of matter at multiple scales of complexity.
A further exploration into the nature of quanta and the emergence of space, time, energy, and gravity, The Fourfold Composite Quantum, the Emergence of Space, Time, Energy, and Gravity, and Some Implications appeared in June 2018 (alternative link) in the journal Research and Reviews: Journal of Pure and Applied Physics.
Further, an ex post facto study of key equations of innovation from the cosmological-mathematics was applied in a detailed Stanford University Medical Center case study that appeared in the April 2018 edition of The South African Journal of Industrial Engineering as the feature article, also contributing to the completion of a 12-part series that elaborated my 5-year OD journey at Stanford University Medical Center.
A recent presentation in June in Chicago at IEEE TEMSCON 2018 explored the derivation of mathematical operators to manage innovation in complex adaptive systems. Proceedings will be published in IEEE Xplore as the fourth conference-based installment of this cosmological-mathematics shortly.
Finally, from a day-to-day practical perspective, aspects of the One Mathematics have informed the design of a dynamic pricing environment, and appears as Modeling of a Dynamic Pricing Environment to Enable Success in Complex Adaptive Systems in the IEEE Xplore digital library following presentation at 2018 IEEE Syscon in Vancouver in April this year.
Necessarily the structuring of any mathematics requires a multiplicity of vision. In different times such a multiplicity may be engendered in different ways. This could involve the simultaneous study of Science and Art, equal weight given to dream-life and waking-life, equal consideration of the short-term and the long-term, by equal study in a single discipline and then a plethora of seemingly unrelated disciplines, or by stretches of concentration and meditation on analytical details interspersed by star- or fire-gazing or by long walks in nature.
In my own case such multiplicity arose from the continued reading of Savitri, a roughly 24,000 line mystical poem by Sri Aurobindo, over the course of several decades. This poem is replete with multiple views of the Cosmos. When focused on in such a manner, something of its poetic and thought substance enters into the being of the reader, and sooner or later a different vision may arise.
To quote Albert Einstein: “In scientific thinking are always present elements of poetry. Science and music requires a thought homogeneous.”
